So I basically spent the week on A1A in Fort Lauderdale, where all of the cars are, and took almost zero pictures because lazy and vacation. But I did take note of the sounds they made ( heavily influenced by how hard they were being driven)   and here are the rankings:

1: an early W212 E63 that I saw today. Loud AF, pops and farts on the overrun, the whole nine yards. Clearly not stock but jeez.

2: Lamborghini Huracan. I hate these cars, but damn they sound glorious.

3: the one Mustang GT350 that I saw. It wasn’t being pushed all that hard but man the Voodoo sounds great

4: all of the Maserati two doors. Fun Fact: 125% of all the Maserati coupes and convertibles ever made are in South Florida

5 : the 465 Camero V8s I saw

.....

999: Tesla Model 3

1 000:  Ferrari 458/ 488 - I saw about 5 of these. Did you know that this Ferrari model is not equipped with a throttle pedal, and has a minimum age requirement of 75 to purchase one? I learned that this week.

Great comment on the Maseratis. I live a couple hours north of FTL at the beach and for a low volume carmaker, it seems like they must sell them at the local lemon lot. A designer who works for me has one, and the dad of a kid I coach in soccer has one as well. I do a lot of work in Boca at country clubs. Always at least one or two in the lot, along with tons of Mercedes, the occasional Ferrari and vette, and a ton of Panameras. The other day I pulled my wrangler in next to a Bugatti ragtop.

Regarding the Camaros, tons of rental Camaro and Mustang ragtops.  I’m a convertible guy myself, so no hate from me.  When my daughter turns 16 in a couple years, I see her in an ex-Avis 6 cylinder Camaro ragtop.

I’d love to know what they did to it. From the sounds, I presume it was the NA 6. 3.

No hate from me on the Camero or Mustang either- I love convertibles too. Seems like a lot of the Camaros were V8s and most of the Mustang rentals were V6s.

Maseratis are common around me, but they’re mostly Ghiblis, with an occasional quattroformaggio. Very few coupes. And yet I didn’t see a Ghibli all week here. Weird.

Honestly they probably just pulled either the resonators or the mufflers. Or both. I've had ones like that in the shop, and they're glorious under load while driving, but starting them up in the shop will make the people up in the offices in the other side of the building shit themselves

Yeah from half a block away on a busy Boulevard it’s good - up close in an echoing shop would be painful I’m sure!
